| After the entire village of Quirm was murdered, including your mother and nephew, you vowed to get your revenge. You became a mighty Fighter, albeit one who was easily distracted by sidequests. As luck would have it, as you were passing through the land of Fandanzia, you stopped at the inn in the quiet hamlet of Stubborn Mule, and heard the local barber talking about the ancient pyramid that the town had (perhaps ill-advisedly) been built next to, and the fantastic Amber Idol of Krampus that was purported to be hidden there. Without bothering to ask why nobody had managed to recover it already, you set out on your very first quest. You weren't having any problems until you had to fend off half a dozen orcs with your foot trapped in a sphere of annihilation. Fortunately, most of them ran away when the shoggoth showed up, and you played dead until it left. That's not very heroic, but hey, it worked. But, unwilling to let that keep you from glory, you gritted your teeth and wielded your 10' pole, and cut your way through the hordes of ents that stood between you and your goal. At last you found the lair of Ice Warrior Shredvampire bat, who quite unexpectedly turned out to be your long-lost cousin, but you killed the idiot anyway. And thus was the land freed from tyranny, and you earned yourself a fat reward!
