| At an early age, you were apprenticed to the Great Wizard Dan, but you grew tired of having to tidy the floors and feed the alchemical equipment day in and day out. So, you stole a spellbook and took off to become a Wizard on your own. You rode into the city of Crunkleford, and met a shadowy stranger in a hooded cloak who was sitting in the corner of the local bar. He told you about the legendary Silver Dog of Flabbernathy, which is rumored to be hidden in an ancient tower near the village of Dogspittle, and promised you a hefty fee if you could bring it to him. Figuring he wouldn't offer you the quest if it weren't level-appropriate, you readily agreed. You were kickin' ass and chewin' bubblegum until you dropped your Leatherman in a swinging razor-sharp pendulum and couldn't get it back out. Wouldn't you know it, that was when the barbarians showed up. Fortunately, "giving up" isn't in your dictionary (probably because it's two words), so you persevered. You fought your way through countless kobolds and barbarians -- even a roper! But eventually you found the lair of the sinister Dragon Barbarian Dave, and were able to defeat him by knocking him into a sphere of annihilation with a lucky critical hit. Bruised but successful, you made it back to the nearby city of Crunkleford and claimed your reward.
