At an early age, you were apprenticed to the Great Wizard Gustav, but you grew tired of having to feed the floors and exfoliate the alchemical equipment day in and day out. So, you stole a spellbook and took off to become a Wizard on your own.

As luck would have it, as you were passing through the land of Prefectford, you stopped at the inn in the quiet hamlet of Malph, and heard the local seamstress talking about the ancient tomb that the town had (perhaps ill-advisedly) been built next to, and the fantastic Amber Idol of Morgar that was purported to be hidden there. Without bothering to ask why nobody had managed to recover it already, you set out on your very first quest.

At first it was a real breeze, up until the part where you found yourself trapped between a cheese-grater and a iron maiden, with a mimic bearing down upon you. That strawberry was pretty delicious, but it's didn't really make up for the damage to your lower back.

Nevertheless, you fought your way through evil overlord's crypt, dispatching hobos left and right, and finally arrived at the throne room of the Fire King Crushhold. After a long and dramatic battle, you plunged your yo-yo into his ankle. The entire dungeon unexpectedly began to collapse as soon as the evil douchebag was dead, but you managed to escape with your life, and claimed your reward from the grateful people of Winklesbury.
