| Life was hard as an orphan on the streets of Pitlick, without a dad or mother to teach you right from wrong. On the other hand, you wouldn't have grown up to be such a talented Thief otherwise. You rode into the city of Mosshawk, and met a shadowy stranger in a hooded cloak who was sitting in the corner of the local bar. He told you about the legendary Diamond Pelican of Hambonia, which is rumored to be hidden in an ancient pyramid near the village of Malph, and promised you a hefty fee if you could bring it to him. Figuring he wouldn't offer you the quest if it weren't level-appropriate, you readily agreed. You were doing really well until you dropped your nunchuks in a antlion pit and couldn't get it back out. Wouldn't you know it, that was when the bullywugs showed up. Fortunately, "giving up" isn't in your dictionary (probably because it's two words), so you persevered. You fought your way through countless gypsies and hobgoblins -- even a horse! But eventually you found the lair of the sinister Black Troll Unpleasantor, and were able to defeat him by knocking him into a sphere of annihilation with a lucky critical hit. Bruised but successful, you made it back to the nearby city of Kilmer and claimed your reward.
