| As a child, you exhibited a normal of unusual talents, including the ability to Flying Saucer the first day you picked up a yo-yo. So your parents, creeped out by your paranormal abilities, enrolled you in Gallston Wizard School. Before long, you earned your Beta of Amber and could set out to make your fortune. As luck would have it, you found yourself wandering through the sleepy village of Cabbagetown just as the village people (you know, the construction worker, the cop, the Indian) were beset by the evil Lord Grunwold, who had poisoned the town's rat population. Against your better judgment (and with the hope of fat loot to come), you agreed to try and bring the villain to justice. You were doing really well until you got lost in a tower -- all the walls looked exactly the same! You did find a sweet handaxe +1 in a carrion crawler's lair, though, and were able to intimidate some kobolds into telling you where their boss's hideout was. Right before they stabbed you in the thigh. Bruised but unbroken, you readied your morningstar and marched forth into the darkness, where you were immediately captured by the Demon Knight Maulbeetle's army of golden-haired badgers. They hauled you before their master, but got bored and wandered off during his long gloating speech. Seeing your chance, you pushed the evil freak into his own vending machine, and escaped to claim your reward from the grateful people of Flabbernathy.
